Orchard Peace Park

Funded by Creative Ireland, in collaboration Wexford County Council, the Irish Architectural Foundation, and Joanne Coughlan (Studio AULA)

Using the input of local community members of all ages via surveys and 5 in-person workshops, the team listened to the communities thoughts and experiences to co-design a new vision for Orchard Peace Park in Enniscorthy that complements and builds on the existing design, so as to increase the use of the park and reduce anti-social behaviour.

The final proposal of short-term and long-term enhancements focuses on the core visions of maintaining and growing biodiversity, creating places for people to gather, implementing more pause and play points along paths, improving safety, and increasing culture features.
