Commissioned by Wexford County Council funded under the Creative Ireland project and delivered by Esther Gerrard & Ed Coveney of Elements for Action in collaboration with Local Artist Aoife Banville.

This was a community art project to engage, map and run activity-led workshops with community groups over three phases; a gather, co design and make phase. We explored the theme Connections - the way back to our roots & routes through mapping the areas of interest and discussed and gathered some of the stories and history of the areas. We created a community space for future events and pop up performances; adding stencils to the steps inspired by the found steel shapes of the old railway track and exhibited an outdoor exhibition of artworks made during the workshops along the trail. A key vision was investigating, choosing, modeling and reusing the existing steel railways in a new and site specific way.
